Phyllis Lui (they/she)
Health Education Specialist
Phyllis’ curiosity around human sexuality started in elementary school and her quest for sexual knowledge took off from there! In high school she learned from her amazing friend, who had the opportunity to receive sex education from Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, that she could pursue a career in educating others on sexual health topics and she tenaciously went after her dreams to become a Sexual Health Educator!
Phyllis holds a B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Like a lot of new graduates, she was unable to secure a job in her field and decided to go back to school. She is a proud graduate of City College of San Francisco and earned various certificates: Sexual Health Educator, Community Health Worker, Infectious Disease Prevention in Priority Populations, and Diversity and Social Justice. During her phenomenal stay at CCSF, she was a Health Educator at the LINK Center where she provided safer sex supplies and sexual health information, and also served as a Peer Educator for Project SURVIVE where she provided classroom presentations on promoting healthy relationships to end sexual violence and power abuse in relationships. She is honored to be a part of the Health Connected team and to be a resource for others!
In her spare time, she enjoys taking care of her plants, creating various foods from scratch, and dabbling in various DIY projects.
