The excitement on the faces of Nickolas’ university peers after learning their STI status - some of them for the first time - at a health event he organized, solidified his interest in pursuing Health Promotion as his career path.
He earned a B.S. in Health Promotion form Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. and an M.P.H. in Health Promotion Sciences from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Nickolas is currently receiving his Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) in Executive Leadership from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He has expertise in qualitative research; primary, secondary, and post-secondary education; HIV testing and programs; African American health disparities; men’s health; and program development and implementation.
Nickolas has seen first-hand the profound ways in which childhood experiences can contribute to health outcomes later in life, and the immense power of preventive education on youth. He is thrilled to impact the lives of our youth - our future leaders - and to make a contribution to the field of adolescent sexual health as part of the Health Connected team.
