An alumna of UC Santa Barbara, Hannah earned degrees in Feminist Studies (BA) and Spanish (BA), focusing her studies on the intersections between race, gender and sexuality. She spent her junior year abroad at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City where she explored the world of sexual and reproductive health advocacy as an intern at Ipas Mexico, a nonprofit organization dedicated to quality women’s healthcare in that country. Back in Santa Barbara for her senior year, she completed an internship in the Public Affairs department at the local Planned Parenthood, participating in community engagement and political lobbying. After graduation, Hannah lived and worked in Mexico City for more than two years, assuming a position as Development Coordinator at Ipas Mexico, coordinating with an alliance of local nonprofit organizations to develop projects that improve and expand access to women’s health services. After moving back to the U.S. in 2015, Hannah worked at UCSF with vulnerable older adults in San Francisco’s Mission District in as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator for the ZSFG Prepare Study.
Hannah joined the Health Connected team in February 2017 as a Health Education Specialist. She loves engaging young people in conversations about gender, identity and empowerment, and her mission is to promote underrepresented viewpoints by fostering community dialogue.
