Support #SexEd4All on December 2
November 25, 2014
December 2 isn't just your average Tuesday — it's #GivingTuesday, a global day devoted to bringing individuals, communities, and organizations together to celebrate generosity and give to the causes they believe in. All day, we'll beasking for your support to ensure that students with special needs have access to our comprehensive sexual health education programs.
We believe that all students need and deserve quality sex education, regardless of ability level. Even though California Education Code requires that school sexual health education programs be appropriate for students of all ability levels, young people with disabilities are chronically underserved where sex ed is concerned. That's why this #GivingTuesday, Health Connected will be raising money to ensure that students with special needs have access to our comprehensive sexual health education programs. Preparing special needs youth for the responsibilities and choices of adulthood helps them to live and socialize in meaningful ways within the community.
How You Can Help
All day December 2, you can help us provide our programs to public school students with disabilities by donating online here. We'll be tracking gifts of support and sharing updates on progress towards our $5,000 goal on the crowd-funding site, Razoo. Take a moment to check out our Razoo page and share it with your networks. With your support, we can make #SexEd4All a reality!
