Family Talk Workshops

At Family Talk workshops, parents, children, and families of all structures build connectedness and trust as they explore health-related topics. Families learn, laugh and share together making a potentially sensitive subject more comfortable. These workshops aim to foster deep connections through dialogue and activities, creating a strong foundation for a lifetime of communication. Family Talk workshops are inclusive - we learn together in mixed family and gender groups to encourage understanding and acceptance.

For families with children ages 5-7 years old

This live webinar guides trusted adults through an important body boundaries and personal safety conversation with their young children.  A trained Health Connected educator will guide and support families in conversations about public and private body parts, ABC body signals, and action plans.  Families will engage via anonymous chats, polls, and short private conversations with each other. This important conversation is a gentle introduction to body autonomy and body safety.

Family Talk: Where Did I Come From?

For families with children ages 7-9 years old

This live webinar is the easiest way to be guided through the human reproduction conversation that becomes the basis for conversations about sexual health and relationships in the future. A trained Health Connected educator will guide and support families through conversations about families, bodies, and babies with an easygoing, candid approach. Families will engage via anonymous chats, polls, and short private conversations with each other. This is the essential conversation that trusted adults must have so that subsequent questions about human sexuality can be answered from a solid foundation. Older students may also participate if they have not had this important conversation with their adults.
